In the first week of every month, I get calls from unknown cellphone numbers, more than once a day, asking me to resubscribe to Outlook. No amount of pleading and threatening makes them remove my number from their database. The concept of a DNC list is unknown to these callers.
This post isn't about where these people call from. It's about who calls. From their voices you can make out they are the creme of our educational system. Impeccable pronunciation, persuasive, full of zeal. Our best people are wasting their best time doing soul crushing internships, 15 days at a time, making sales calls.
