Good old White-throated #Kingfisher. Travel all the way to #Rishikesh but find the same old Kingfisher that I see in the cities also. So many Kingfishers in India (https://www.natureinfocus.in/animals/get-to-know-india-s-kingfishers) but all I get is this fellow.

These peanuts or potatoes, whatever you wanna call them. Sticking out of the ground, a hybrid between a geodesic dome and a hangar. A structural engineer's dream come true.

Up close they're just mud and wood. And nothing else. A thin sheet of tarp on the roof; the rest is biodegradable.
