Gov: We need large dams to protect us from flash floods, cloud and glacier bursts.

Reality: We need to stop constructions on flood plains, river banks and lake beds. If we live where water flows naturally, once an year or once a decade, sooner or later disaster will happen. We can never prevent these disasters with dams.

My heart goes out to all the victims of today's tragedy. They were victims of a man made disaster, not nature.
