Imagine you're in the US. The drainage in your garden needs fixing, and the contractor sends a couple of black dudes to take care of it. While working, they're thirsty and ask for some water. You don't give them the water in glasses, or hand them a water bottle, coz their hands are covered in mud. Instead, you pour the water into their hands from up above, so they can drink it.

Guess what those brothers are gonna do to you? If they whoop your ass, they'd be damn right in doing that.

In India, we regularly do that to workers. We pour water over muddy hands. Or we transfer cold water into a disposable bottle, then discard the bottle if the workers return it. We never give our glass. If we do give a glass, we take care to scrub it extra thoroughly before using it again.

This is not hygiene. This is racism. It is disgusting, despicable. The dalits and bahujan workers accept it, instead of revolting like the blacks in the US rightly would if subjected to such overt racism today. And stupid ponga pandits on television justify this and all of our other terrible behaviour with some vedic psycho babble that nobody should be paying any attention to.

As long as you can drink the piss of an animal but not drink water given by another human, you are disgusting.
