The Universal Speed Limit was a particularly inconvenient scientific law to obey. How would heroes travel from star system to star system at warp speed within their lifetimes? Asimov, while imagining science and technology in his fiction that would later be discovered/created in reality, more or less stayed true to this dictum.)
