I have been the webmaster of www.thinvent.in for 13 years now. I recently souped things up so that a contact request on the website automatically opens a ticket in Asana. A poor man's CRM system, if you will. Earlier we would get emails and there was no way to track what happened to each lead. Now the unfortunate folks in sales must update each ticket across Asana's Kanban board.

Google PageSpeed hates me with a vengeance. The WordPress Divi ContactForm7 ReCaptcha combination is a mess in itself. Add to that, the hundreds of updates and plug-ins added and removed from this ball of PHP MySQL wax since 2011. So I turned off ReCaptcha, partly also to remove Google's horrid tracking.

Lo and behold, Asana instantly had tickets like "need porn" floating around. I start getting calls from colleagues, asking if the website is broken. And I get existential. These are Covid times. Everything is broken. Finances are broken. The order book is broken. Hearts are broken. Salaries might soon be broken. So what if someone got past our spam filters and tried to hustle some porn to us.

Recaptcha is back, for now. If any of you has any real love for WordPress, do help us fix our page load speeds. We'll gladly pay real cash, because our website is the doorway to our business.

And if you point me to another silly WP optimization plug-in, I will find you and I will send you Cyrillic spam.
