Hey guys, headed to Meghalaya for a vacation. Folks who've been there, please share your thoughts on what to experience, which places to visit, and where to stay. We're currently thinking Shillong, Cherrapunji-Sohra, and Mawlynnong-Riwai-Dawki (based entirely on Rupam's fantastic photo album).

- Sameera SatijaLeave aside this particular issue for a moment and look around!! Do you think we are getting the basic infrastucture in return of the amount of taxes you pay? If your ans in NO then this protest is justified as it is to demand answerability
- Rupam DasHave a nice vacation. We didn't see much of the Meghalaya market. Spent very little time there. If you want to do street photography, head to the Bara Bazaar aka Lewduh market. Hide
- Priyanka BhaskarThere is a double decker root bridge, calls for a 5km trek, but worth it.. Hide

- Neeharika NandyalI was just there 10 days back ! Must visit is living roots bridge - close to the Mawlynnong village . In cherrapunji - apart from all the waterfalls you might have heard of, should do garden of caves ! Is a trek st places and takes long but truly amazing ! Hide
- Neeharika NandyalDepends on how many days you have there - 3-4 days is not enough to cover the whole place. It gets quite rainy /Misty and dark by 4 pm. So remember to start early cos there's a lottttttttttttt of walking and places take time Hide

- Fritz GonsalvesThe sacred forest at Mawphlang village. It's unmissable. It has an LOTR feel to it...Also if you stay at Mawphalang, you could do cherrapunji - shora for a day and then Mawlynnong-Riwai-Dawki, the next day. Mawphlang village is an hour or two drive from the Shillong. Have a great trip. Hide
- Tarun GuptaAlso visit Krang Suri waterfall.. on the way from Shillong to Dawki. Hide
- Jayati TalapatraWe did the exact same places. Spent a whole day in Mawlinong to understand their ethos. Also walked in a sacred forest next to it. Hide
