You sit in your own little corner of the world for 35 years and fancy yourself an inventor. Then you step out and realise how much has already been done that should first be copied. Not that I haven't seen them before, but to actually use japan's toilet innovations is another thing completely. The tap triggers every time you flush - it's beyond no touch. The water is reused of course so there's no wastage even if you're gross and decide to not rinse your hands. The space and material saved is awesome. Also a non aggressive reminder to all us gross people to kindly wash our hands.
