Ha ha ha. This reminds me of the time I made a very expensive long distance call from my college campus to a school time friend.

Imagine my surprise when some time into the call, my friend's mother's voice piped up. She had been listening in on the parallel line, and expressed surprise at the distinctly South Indian English accent I had picked up while in Chennai.

To her (dis?)satisfaction there was no romantic conversation between the two of us. It was all mundane stuff.
