Do not use GoDaddy.

For anything. Ever. Do not.

They are incompetent. And thieves. Migrating away from GoDaddy DNS is a huge pain (which means I've made good money doing it for their victims).

It's a rookie mistake. Billionaires have made it. You should not. Think of them as the AmWay of the internet.

(And oh, did you know that 99% of Americans who become MLM agents lose money. Its a fact. But 100% of GoDaddy subscribers lose peace of mind.)

Alastair YoungWhen we moved the rocketfuel.com domain hosting away from godaddy (in 2012?) they dropped the data from their DNS servers instantly. As the TTL was set to a 24 hour default the website pretty raggedly available for a day. Luckily the actual product was under another domain so it didn't impact customers. So make sure your TTL is minimised in advance. Hide
