I'm out for a WWF walk at Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary. Half the walk is about mangroves and shore plants, and is being conducted by a botany professor.

I've hung out with various kinds of nerds, but never a plant nerd. This guy is intense. Someone asked what the holes in the ground are, and he said "Those must be crabs. I don't know anything about crabs. My speciality is plants."

He has repeated the "my speciality" line dozens of times by now. A real nerd 👍🏽
