Kavin: A Heritage school bus was lost for three hours. Nursery kids, stuck without AC for three hours in the heat.
Me: That's obviously not true.
Kavin: No no, one of my former classmates told me. His sister was on the bus.
Me: And the bus managed to be "lost", in Gurgaon of all places, for three hours, and the driver did not call for help, and nobody reached the bus.
Kavin: Oh they called all the parents but none of them picked up the phone.
Me: Yeah, totally believable.
I think it was two years ago that Heritage taught Kavin's elder brother about critical thinking. Or rather, how to tell if some news being shared with you is from a trustworthy source or not, is believable or not, how to question the source, how to do independent research to verify. Stuff like that. Kavin will need to be brought up to speed, obviously.
Kids are so gullible. One moment they are teaching you maths, and the next moment they are spreading fantastic rumours.
