Lennart Poettering, creator of all things evil and monolithic in Linux such as systemd, pulseaudio and avahi, has recently become a Microsoft employee. This man who builds poorly documented stuff that Doesn't Work(TM) and breaks backward compatibility, has found the right resting place for himself.
(Over the years I've cultivated the wrong set of friends on FB. Y'all don't care about the important things in life, such as Linux and FLOSS politics. Y'all can use Windows and Mac and worship the likes of Lennart.)
My life has been a relentless struggle with systemd over the last decade. As recently as Monday I was grappling the bloody beast. And then yesterday Nilay wanted to use a system-wide audio equaliser on his Ubuntu powered Neo. Nobody wishes for their child to deal with the kind of trauma he went through, adding an equaliser to his pulseaudio chain.
