At the Habitat Center, a group of organisations is running an exhibition on the biodiversity of the Aravallis. These mountains have always been under threat from poaching, encroachment, mining and garbage dumping. The latest, and most serious threat, is that the Khattar sarkar, like its predecessors, is trying to redefine the boundaries of the protected areas of Aravalli. This opens up these mountains to development and worse.
