If you're as exceptionally talented an artist as Glover, you show up for an interview in worn out sneakers and a T shirt when everyone else is in a suit. And then you own the place.

I first noticed Glover in the Martian. He brought tremendous character to his role. The person he portrayed was exceptionally gifted, worked really really hard, stood up to authority, and was confident and aware of his own genius. In other words, he played a math nerd version of himself.

Saurabh JWhat got me thinking about Glover in the first place, was contemplating the nature of talent. How much of it is nature and how much is it nurture? And if it is all nature, then does that reduce the "value" of the gifted in any way. Like if you were born exceptionally intelligent, with a mathematical mind, are your achievements in life any lesser, because they stem from a genetic lottery. Also, are the gifted obligated to fully realise their genius? Maximise their gifts. Is the genius in the service of the man, or man in the service of genius? And what role does mankind/society play in this? Is
