@[505907433:2048:Bhaskar Deol], @[659002460:2048:Simran Grover], would it make sense to start replacing these horrible, no good, polluting DG sets in Gurgaon's apartment blocks and commercial buildings with batteries? Even without solar. Like a very large community scale inverter/UPS.

Depending on wether the back-up requirements are intermittent or long duration - lithium or flow batteries, respectively, can be deployed. As for financial viability, unfortunately appropriate financing solutions which reflect utility and shelf life of these batteries do not exist as of now - and hence upfront capital investments shall continue to be a major barrier for some more time at least. Perhaps Bhaskar can do something about this Also, given the potential impact on emission reduction, perhaps govt. can offer suit
