It's funny how people think it is OK for them to make others bend the rules and laws to suit their needs. Guy living across the road from our office thinks it is OK to have a product invoiced from Gurgaon to Delhi, but actually have it delivered within Gurgaon.
In the era of GST and e-way bills, it isn't OK. You bill to Delhi, you gotta ship to Delhi. Which is what we did. We shipped it for FREE to the Delhi address we invoiced it to, rather than bend the GST rules and have an IGST item stay within Haryana.
@[100057165292256:2048:Ocrolus] East Pvt. Ltd., subsidiary to an up and coming startup based in NYC, has its registered office at 7 Siri Fort Road, Delhi. So do some fifty other companies. It's one of those buildings where tons of companies have their registered address, but none have any real operations or office. (It's because of companies like these that genuine directors like me need to suffer the stupidity of INC-22 🙄)
Anyway, parcel takes its own sweet time to come back undelivered from Delhi because of the long weekend. Then we have to get it hand delivered within Gurgaon. AFTER securing the delivery, this guy goes to maps.google.com and calls us a "bunch of comedians".
Which makes me wonder what value, if any, Google Maps reviews have. Is it just a place where you go and rant, because you didn't get what you wanted out of a business. I remember I stopped trusting Yelp reviews in the Bay Area back in 2012. Everyone knew Yelp was calling and harassing businesses to pay up or have bad reviews surfaced. Are Google Maps reviews going to go the same way? I, for one, haven't made a single purchase decision so far, in any country/city, based on Google Maps ratings.
