Facebook keeps pushing these labour videos to me.

All of them are made in China.

It is obvious that in Chinese culture, society and media, labour is celebrated. That's not surprising, given their commie roots.

There is dignity in labour. Tremendous dignity and respect.

But so few (middle class) Indians realise that. Almost everyone wants a job where they sit in air conditioning all day, in front of a computer, breaking their backs, disconnected from the physical world, serving as a mere cog in a large corporate machine. The joy of being awesome at a certain task, is completely lost to them.
