I'm at an event at a 5 star hotel at the insistence of our bank manager. I'm bored and want to leave before the buffet and the bar open.

And then I realised. If I turn down free food and free booze, am I even Indian any more? What if they NRC me out of the country for this travesty 😂

So? Should I stay or should I go?

Update: Woke up this morning with an upset stomach. I thought I'll only have the zucchini salad, but they ran out of it before I could get a refill. So I had other, spicy things. Damn. Regrets.
