Wikipedia is currently under a sustained DDOS attack.

Politicians talk a lot about freedom, and protecting freedom.

I don't see a better example of freedom of information, freedom to create and share knowledge and to collaborate, a better application of the scientific method of inquiry and peer review, than Wikipedia. Yes, it has its politics and its problems, but honestly, I cannot live without Wikipedia.

Why, then, is such a large, sustained, well orchestrated and distributed attack on an important global, public resource not being considered an attack on humanity by the UN?

Who will protect our knowledge and freedom from acts of war?
