Me: We have to leave now. Your salsa class begins at three.

Nilay: What? Dance? No. Never.

Kavin: Whyyyyyy? You never asked us.

Nilay: There is absolutely no way I'll attend.

After much drama, we arrive at the class. After the class:

Me: How was it?

Nilay: Amazing.

Kavin: 😁 I like.

Nilay: We talked to the teacher. Fixed the same time every day for classes.

My style of parenting is very cooperative*. No forcing the kids. But once in a while I flex myself on an issue. And the sheer joy when it turns out a success 🎉.

Bonus. The teacher speaks fluent Spanish. So the kids can practice the language they learn at school (and didn't particularly enjoy learning, till last week).

*Cooperative on everything except chores. The kids have to do two-thirds of the work around the home. Always. That's my रोज़ का रगड़ा with them.
