• Farhan HaqueMetro trains are usually run for short distances particularly within a city. They are for catering maximum public transport with minimum seating. Seats are provided to generally cater for senior citizens,women and children. Metro trains are mostly used as public transport. As far as I know, only upcoming Riyadh metro will accommodate separate seating area for vips, whose tickets will obviously be more costlier than the tickets for rest of the passenger area.

• Farhan HaqueYou are right Saurabh Jain. But still,its very very less when compared to distances covered by the intercity trains. I believe 5- 10 minutes of rest can be taken at any station in between & then the rest of the journey can be completed by the next train coming behind.
