So, after a long time, I ended up at this large e-commerce site (I was searching for a spare part). Instinctively, I scrolled to the bottom of the page, and frowned, "Parsing is broken again. Got to file a JIRA."
Then I remembered. It's been eighteen months now.
Ah! Sweet startup life. You never actually "quit" a startup. You just stop working there. A part of you, a part of your heart and soul, continues to live there forever.
