Is there something weird about people wishing their spouse, children, parents, grandchildren, grandparents and siblings on Facebook? Or am I just old fashioned? To me it feels less like a 'hey, happy birthday' and more a 'hey look, I wished her a happy birthday'.

I am not a birthday wishing, gift giving person myself. I don't remember any birth dates, other than those that I'm forced to fill repeatedly into forms (even there I screw up). If I'm wishing you on Facebook, honestly that means I need Facebook to remind me of your birthday, and you're not one of the top five people in my life.

What do you think? When immediate family wish each other on Facebook, is that creepy or cute?

(Monday morning hasn't kicked in yet. Soon I'll have something better to do with my time.)
