I find these staged viral videos extremely annoying. Most police persons I've come across have been hard working, humane, and, like all other government employee, sticklers for imagined rules. There is this chap right outside my house, he manages traffic 12 hours a day in the heat, humidity, dust and pollution of Gurgaon. He does a fairly good job given the conditions. I wouldn't survive for half an hour over there. He braves being crushed by trailer trucks. He jumps in front of SUVs to stop them. He gets abused in Haryanavi. We need him there because the government can't seem to build a decent traffic junction that doesn't break apart next month. It can't even keep the traffic lights running. Not to mention the random road diggings that keep happening within a few meters of the intersection. He doesn't have the time to pick up old ladies and help them cross the road. Heck he can't even take a piss break because mindless morons would clog the junction and come to blows with each other. And then it'd take him an hour to clean up the mess.
