I wish we would say that we are regressing fast. And regression can often be a good thing. Organic farming isn't new or unique in any way. We are simply undoing a century or more of damage done by modern farming techniques.

There are a number of other things done wrong in the last century or so. Personal mechanised transportation is one. At that time, these ideas may have looked good. Now that we know better, we should start dismantling these 'modern' ideas and go back to stuff that's been tested over millennia.

Maybe you can relate to more personal experiences. We all know that laptops and smartphones are ergonomic nightmares, compared to desktops. Yet we persist with them. The sooner we mandate docking of laptops with external monitors and keyboards, both at home and office, the better it is for our future selves. And then maybe we can start thinking about whether we should be bringing work home with our portable devices at all.
