In a world where corporate executives do not get charged, forget convicted, for financial crimes and crimes against humanity, what hope does the environment have?

Most corporates are insured against civil and criminal liabilities by their employers. This will only increase the cost of that insurance and perhaps extend it to the lifetime of the executive. It will not reduce the impunity with which the environment is treated like an externality by corporations.
