How this site is built

My photos, writing and work, copied out of Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn so there is a version of them that does not live on someone else's servers.

Built with

• Plain HTML. A handful of Python scripts turn my exported data into flat files. No framework.
• Hand-written CSS. The career chart is drawn in SVG.
• My own exports as the source: Instagram and Facebook photos re-encoded to WebP, the writing from my LinkedIn export.
• The 2008 home page, pulled back from the Internet Archive with its dead links repointed.
• nginx, on a server I run.
• Claude for company while building it.

A few rules

• No analytics, no cookies, no trackers.
• Nothing loads from anyone else's servers.
• Plain files, so it keeps working without much looking after.
